Deer

I began painting deer after a failed textile project in which I had created a scene with deer playing together in a cave. I liked the idea of the deer as friends, talking to each other about relationships, trying to have an intervention for one friend who was locked in an unhealthy state of limmerance. I wrote a short story about this cave intervention, which you can read on my Substack page (when I create that). These deer were created with acrylics, then re-created in digital form.
