Inspired by nature, geography and human connections, I make landscapes, maps, and worlds in order to explore, and sometimes escape from, complex feelings and sensations.

The imagery comes from my experiences living overseas and traveling. My interest in minimalist art (although most of my pieces seem maximalist) and my curiosity about materials. I allow myself to arrange, space, and organize pieces in a pleasing way. The interplay is about escape as a therapeutic tool, and immersion into new worlds as a way of indulging curiosity. It is about a constant need for perspective shift, and the complexity inherent in all human experiences.
