Candacee White was born in 1984 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where she is currently based. A multidisciplinary artist, White works across various media, including mixed media collages on paper, linocuts, woodcuts, and oil stick paintings on canvas. She is best known for her distinctive visual language, which often evokes maps and landscapes, creating vibrant, abstract works that explore themes of space, place, and identity.

White's artwork is characterized by its complex, colorful patterns and its sense of layered meaning through diverse techniques.

Her “Mapscapes” collages, which will be exhibited in 2025, showcase her evolving artistic voice by combining her lived experiences with her painterly aesthetic. In 2020, her breakthrough oil stick painting series, "Teeth," revealed her innovative use of color and patterning. Her latest series of woodcuts, which explore the juxtaposition of traditional religious imagery with animalistic nature, shows that she is an artist constantly trying new things, and pushing the boundaries of her own sense of progress.

Candacee White's work has been featured in notable exhibitions such as her solo show “Mapscapes” in Tulsa, and “Balance and Order,” her first solo show in Yangon, Myanmar. Her pieces are held in the collection of Pansodan Gallery in Yangon, Myanmar, as well as various private collections. She has also participated in group exhibitions such as TAC’s members exhibition, OVAC’s “24 Works on Paper”, and others.
