My painting 'Judith Beheading Holofernes' is a reimagining of a painting of the same name by the artist Artemesia Gentileschi. In it, the brave and respectable Judith cuts through the neck of the evil king Holofernes, who had been abusing the people of her village. Judith's maid holds down the king while her mistress does the gruesome deed. The full story can be found in the Apocryphal texts of the Bible.
